14 years across small businesses and big corporates, in Australia and the UK, moving through operations, projects, accounts and events, will teach you a lot about what makes a business tick, and what wears it down.

The thing that stuck with me most wasn’t a single system or process. It was watching talented leaders and teams unable to get the projects that would make a difference over the line, because the day-to-day always came first.

Throughout my career, I’ve walked into businesses, got across them fast, and taken ownership of work that had been sitting untouched for months, sometimes years.

Founders and operators are f*cking excellent at what they do. But let’s face it, there are only so many hours, and the projects that move a business forward need someone to own them.
